"Chinese New Year".

Gung Hay Fat Choy means to wish a Happy New Year in Chinese. New Year celebrations is a grand event of China. Chinese New Year falls on a different date every year. Chinese calendar is a combination of solar and lunar calendar. Chinese calendar has a 12 year cycle and each year has a name of an animal. Chinese believe that every person resembles an animal and this reflects their traits.

In China there are 4 major dragons. Next you have the information about them. Choose one of the names for the dragon you colored and pasted in your notebook:)

T'ien Lung- This is a celestial dragon that protects heaven, specifically the homes of the gods.
Shen-Lung A spiritual dragon, it is the master of storms. A special type of Shen-lung is the five-toed imperial dragon that could only appear on the clothes and furnishings of the emperor.
Ti-Lung- This is the dragon of the land and rivers. Apparentely a good all purpose dragon.
Fu-ts'and-Lung- This is a treasure dragon that hoards jewels and precious metals in deep caves (a trait in commom with the greedier dragons of the western cultures)
