- Bring a glass container (it can be a Gerber container) and a brush. We are going to make a Chinese Lantern in the classroom! :)

"Chinese New Year".

Gung Hay Fat Choy means to wish a Happy New Year in Chinese. New Year celebrations is a grand event of China. Chinese New Year falls on a different date every year. Chinese calendar is a combination of solar and lunar calendar. Chinese calendar has a 12 year cycle and each year has a name of an animal. Chinese believe that every person resembles an animal and this reflects their traits.
